A Challenge Day
is a one-day workshop where youth, teachers, parents, administrators, counselors and members of the community experience for themselves that love and connection are indeed possible in our schools.Challenge Day
(ChallengeDay.org) believes that separation, isolation and loneliness are the root cause of a wide range of teen issues such as teasing, bullying, stereotyping, racism, violence, suicide, sexism, and the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco.By promoting self-acceptance and respect for others, Challenge Day ignites participants’ passions and inspires them to become positive forces in their schools and communities.
The total cost for a three day Challenge Day program is approximately $12,000.00 and will reach 300 students. The cost is broken down as follows:
The Challenge Day youth program is $3,200.00 per day
for the 2008-09 school year, and includes:- Pre-program coaching
- One six-hour program for a maximum of 100 youth and a minimum of 25 adults
- Two trained Program Leaders
- Pre-program survey
- Unlimited phone consultation
- Banners to promote the teachings of Challenge Day
- Gift certificate for one School Coordinator to attend the Next Step workshop, a three-day intensive personal growth training that delves more deeply into Challenge Day principles and explores ways to incorporate Challenge Day into daily school activities (a $350 value). Schools are offered one gift certificate per school per year.
